Due to changes in your hormone levels, your metabolism slows as you age. In order to maintain a healthy weight as you approach the age of 45 and beyond, you need to understand what foods work for your body and what foods could be adding to your weight gain, and the answer may not be what you are expecting!

#1: Where do I start? I have tried several weight loss plans that did not work for me.

Let me share a secret...
I felt exactly the same, with similar insecurities, when I first realised that I was obese, yes obese.
After the birth of my second child, I lost all interest in my health and what I was eating. I had let myself go and muttered all the excuses when I finally recognised that I was not just overweight but obese.
BUT here is the difference.
I created a system, that was tailored made for my body. A system that got my metabolism moving, that saw me lose weight and find the energy to do the things that I never thought would be possible again after the age of 50.
The photo to the left, the one where I am exploding at the seams, was the photo that had me in tears. But I needed to see this photo in order to realise how overweight I had become.
The photo on the right is me NOW. Not only minus 25kg (55lb) but also with more energy and vitality, with beautiful shiny hair and smooth skin as an added bonus I never thought possible.
A little about my background.... I was a Nurse for over 20 years, Naturopath BHSc. Had my two children at the age of 36 and 38.
I was not born with a speedy metabolism and able to eat what I like without consequences. Throughout my life I would gain weight if I ever over indulged. At the age of 40 I found my weight gain slowly increasing, despite not indulging and actually eating a healthy diet (or what I thought was healthy!)
I wanted to follow a program that I could adhere to. I did not want to be hungry and miserable or feel deprived in any way.
